At NY Health, all of our patients are family. . In this role, you will: Followall New York Cancer and Blood Specialists policies and procedures. Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment Clean and prepare examination rooms before patient appointments Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed. Measures and records vital signs Recordpatient interviews, history, and chief complaints. Providepatient education about medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets Preparepatients for examinations and performroutine screening tests Assistphysicians with exams Perform phlebotomy and collect of other lab specimens Performbasic lab tests PerformEKGs Administerand documentmedication under a physician’s order and followthe five (5) medication rights and reducethe potential for medical error. Perform other duties as assigned We require: Current NYS LPN license required. Preferred Bilingual English/Spanish speaking. Preferred Urology/Surgical experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Previous experience in a lead role or demonstrated potential to act in a lead capacity. Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals. Proficiency in OncoEMR. Travel to any of the NYCBS locations
Hours: Monday-Friday Salary up to $40 per hour based on experience and education.
